Like many of you who use your computer for a living, I have a few favorite software tools that I use regularly. For each of us, the list is different although I imagine that our lists would have some overlap and perhaps a few program would be on nearly everyone’s list — Microsoft Outlook for example.
I have a specially selected and honed group of add-ins that work along with Outlook to keep me on top of the daily torrent of email, tasks and appointment.
I’ve just added a new program to my list of regulars. The program is ClearContext IMS Professional v3. When you try this tool that works along with Outlook, it may end up on your software short list too!

The usual way we see new emails appear at the top of the inbox, and then as the day goes by, are buried - and often forgotten. With ClearContext, the user can separate emails according to their priority, set them to re-appear later, delegate them to a different user or file them into various project views.
ClearContext gives structure to working in Outlook. It allows new email notifications to be selectively turned on or off, giving the user breathing room to work on the actual projects related to their email communications. At other times, users are encouraged to go through and deal with their prioritized emails. Oeverall, a great program.

Mind Maps are a visual diagram with lines and bubbles representing ideas and relationships between them. The core idea sits in the middle with related topics branching out from it. Ideas are further broken down and extended until your page looks like an impressionist painting of a spider colony.
Tony Buzan invented mind mapping. Not satisfied with other software programs to produce mindmapps, he decided to launch its own mind mapping program with an aim of creating a software environment that would more closely mimic the process of creating hand drawn maps.
